Silkenswift Elsa is a Borzoi and was born on October 13, 1991. She an Aunt to Silkenswift Natasha Fatale who is also a therapy dog in the program. Elsa has a very sweet disposition and is very loving. She also has quite the sense of humor and is very independent in her thinking. She loves water and loves swimming, which is a good thing, since there have been many times over the years when she has been running very fast, not paying attention and then suddenly fallen off of a dock or for some reason thought that she could run right across a huge pond to meet the dog on the other side! When these little "accidents" occur, Elsa keeps right on going, swims out shakes herself off and tosses her head as if to say, "I meant to do that!" She loves to meet people and tends to surprise everyone with her delicate ear kisses! Elsa has been a therapy dog with Fidos since 1998 and earned her CGC and TDI in 2000. She has visited Holy Cross Rehab and Hillhaven Nursing Home, attended dAps in Howard County Schools and attended many CFC booths. Most recently, she has been involved in the DEAR program and has been working with children in the PG County Schools to assist with their reading skills.
