Mackie, short for McKinley, is a standard poodle. He was born on January 16, 2007. Mackie earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) award during October, 2007 when he was only 9 months old. He is hoping to title in obedience soon. Mackie joined Fidos for Freedom as a therapy dog in November, 2007 when he was 10 months old.

Mackie loves his therapy visits to Cherry Lane Nursing Home and Bethesda Naval Medical Center. He also loves to go to dAp and entertain the children with his tricks, especially saying goodnight to his mom by jumping up and hugging and giving a big kiss! Mom has to brace herself as Mackie stands taller than her and quite big at 78 pounds and still growing. He also loves to go swimming with his sister Jordan, who is also a therapy dog.
