Onyx Samoyed

Onyx was born on May 17, 2000. Onyx started working as a therapy dog in February 2002. He currently visits Cherry Lane Nursing Center and is also involved with the "DEAR" program at the East Columbia Library. Onyx is a very friendly dog and loves to be petted. Children love to pet this big, walking, white "stuffed animal". He has been nicknamed by a few volunteer's as "Mr. Excitement" as he is always happy and excited to see his fellow doggie friends at Fido's. The children in the "DEAR" program get a laugh because Onyx likes to "talk" during the reading session. But who know's, maybe he is saying "Read me another Story!" For fun at home Onyx likes to take daily walks and play with his "sister," a black cat named "Ivory".
