Allow me to introduce myself: Shaldra Mikater Jitterbug, but my chums call me "Reggie". That’s because I’m a proper English Whippet. I was born October 20, 2000 in Frederick MD. But now I live in Columbia MD with my whippet cousin Sierra, and a couple of bigger dogs. They’re an odd breed called "humans". They smell different and can’t run very fast by Whippet standards. But my humans run with Sierra and me every day. I try to teach humans the wisdom of dogs, like unconditional love. I don’t care what color your fur is or how old you are; I’ll still love you, and come visit you. There’s one amazing thing humans can do, and it’s called "reading". Just as one Whippet can run faster than another, one human can read better than another. So I’ve decided to work with humans who want help reading as part of the DEAR program , because no matter how well one reads, I am always ready to listen and share your stories.
