Stroll ‘N Roll Location and Logistics:

Join us on Sept. 29, 2013 at beautiful Allen Pond Park in Bowie, MD, the city’s premier 85 acre park with a 10 acre lake.  Our event will be centered around the West Pavilion, located off Northview Drive. Click here for directions.

For members of our disabled community, there is accessible parking and bathrooms, and paths suitable for wheelchairs or walkers.



Getting Started at the Stroll ‘N Roll:

The Stroll ‘N Roll is an opportunity for you and your pet dog to get some exercise, meet new friends, and support a great cause.  Registration is at 10AM. We also offer online registration. While others are standing in line, you can be off having fun!




What To Do At the Fidos Stroll ‘N Roll:

This event is a great family day, and a wonderful way to enjoy time outdoors while doing something good for others.  The stroll or roll is your choice of any of several loops around Allen Pond. During the event, you can participate in the following fun events:


How to Get Involved:

Raise needed funds for Fidos For Freedom, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to continue its vital programs.  Collect pledges from your family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers.  Download this Pledge Sheet to keep track of your progress.

Dollars Raised Go to Work at Fidos to:

Improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities by partnering them with specially trained assistance dogs.  As an example, your pledges of only $250 can:

  • Ensure proper veterinary care for one of our assistance dogs for six months
  • Feed one of our puppies for five months
  • Maintain state of the art training techniques for puppy raisers and trainers
  • Support the Fidos Prison Puppy Program
  • Provide the necessary equipment and supplies a person with a disability or hearing loss needs to begin as a full fledged working team
  • Help Fidos For Freedom continue to maintain its accredited status with Assistance Dogs, International

Increase the quality of life for people in healthcare settings by means of therapy dogs that offer affectionate companionship to the people they visit.  Your gift of $100 means:

  • Fidos Therapy Dogs have the equipment and supplies they need to do their jobs in the Baltimore Washington area
  • Fidos Therapy Dog have a place to practice the skills it needs to provide unconditional love to a person in a hospital or nursing home

From I-95 (Washington Beltway), exit on US-50 E (Exit 19A Toward Annapolis)

Take the MD-197/Collington Rd exit, Exit 11, toward Bowie

Turn right onto MD-197S/Collington Rd

Take the 1st right onto Northview Dr

Allen Pond Park is on the right. Follow signs to Registration Area located in the West Pavilion

Come out for a terrific day of fun, friends, family, happy canines and community! Refreshments and vendors will be on-site
